TIFFIN, OHIO – August 12, 2024  Lavender Lane Studio, a new hair salon owned by local resident, Tracie Poulson, is now open in the Laird Building. Tracie Poulson, who has been an instructor at the Tiffin Academy of Hair Design for over 10 years and Assistant Director for 2 years, brings her extensive experience and passion for hair care to her new venture.

The name, Lavender Lane, is a tribute to Tracie’s mother and grandmother. Lavender symbolizes beauty and resilience, qualities that Tracie believes represent her grandmother and mother. Tracie hopes to pass that on to others. One of Tracie's favorite quotes is, "She dances along the edges of life, like lavender in the wind, delicate yet resilient." ~ Unknown.

Lavender Lane Studio specializes in hair cutting, coloring, and styling for women and men of all ages. Tracie focuses on building relationships with her clients and takes pride in her customer service. "My goal for my clients is to have them leave feeling refreshed and satisfied. I strive for thorough consultations where the client feels heard and understood," said Tracie. In addition to hair services, Tracie plans to offer locally sourced home and beauty items that represent Tiffin.

Mayor Wilkinson stated, "We are excited to welcome Lavender Lane Hair Studio to our downtown community!  It is wonderful to see our city continue to grow with businesses that cater to the diverse needs of our residents. I encourage everyone to visit and experience the exceptional service they have to offer."

The studio is located at 116 S. Washington Street, Suite 210 and operates by appointment, with hours on Mondays and Tuesday through Friday evenings. About Downtown Tiffin

The revitalization of downtown Tiffin began in 2011, when a group of community members came together to form “Tiffin Tomorrow”, with the goal of promoting and encouraging economic development in Downtown Tiffin, and creating plans, programs, and actions to ensure long-term vitality and prosperity. In 2014, the City of Tiffin contracted with SIEDC to act as the downtown organization and “Tiffin Tomorrow” came under the SIEDC (now TSEP) umbrella as the “Downtown Development Board,” which serves as the governing board of the downtown organization. In 2015, Tiffin joined Heritage Ohio’s Main Street Program. For more information, click here
