Columbus OH – April 4, 2024 Heritage Ohio is proud to announce the 2023 certification of Downtown Tiffin as a National Main Street Community.  Tiffin became a member of the Ohio Main Street program in 2015.

During a full-day evaluation visit, the board of Downtown Tiffin exhibited evidence of a robust program working toward measurable outcomes in downtown revitalization. To qualify for Accreditation status, communities must meet a set of rigorous standards that include commitments to building grassroots revitalization programs, fostering strong public-private partnerships, nurturing economic opportunity for small businesses and entrepreneurs, and actively preserving historic places, spaces, and cultural assets. This prestigious designation is a testament to the hard work and commitment of the Downtown Tiffin Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers.

Greg Dell, Board Chair of the Downtown Development Committee, expressed his gratitude, “Thank you to the many folks that support downtown Tiffin! This accreditation reflects the synergy in place to make Tiffin a destination year after year!”

About Downtown Tiffin

The revitalization of downtown Tiffin began in 2011, when a group of community members came together to form “Tiffin Tomorrow”, with the goal of promoting and encouraging economic development in Downtown Tiffin, and creating plans, programs, and actions to ensure long-term vitality and prosperity. In 2014, the City of Tiffin contracted with SIEDC to act as the downtown organization and “Tiffin Tomorrow” came under the SIEDC (now TSEP) umbrella as the “Downtown Development Board,” which serves as the governing board of the downtown organization. In 2015, Tiffin joined Heritage Ohio’s Main Street Program. For more information, click here.
