Façade Enhancement Program continues into 2025

TIFFIN, Ohio – Jan. 6, 2025 – The Façade Enhancement Program is a City of Tiffin reimbursement grant that was started in 2014 and provides a 50 percent match of funds for eligible exterior improvements on residential and commercial structures within the downtown historic district. Each building is eligible to receive up to $10,000 per calendar year.

Since the Façade Enhancement Program’s inception in 2014, 122 projects have been approved for a total downtown investment of more than $2.9 million. The program continues to be successful with 6 building project approvals in 2024, for an investment of more than $201,050.

The City of Tiffin has approved $100,000 for the program to continue into 2025 and registration is now open. Eligible improvements include all exterior improvements to the appearance of an eligible downtown building front façade. These improvements include: awnings, masonry work, painting, restoration or replacement of exterior windows and doors, repair or replacement of roofing systems, fire escapes or exterior upper floor access, and any other visible exterior improvements, subject to approval by the Architectural Board of Review.
