TIFFIN, OHIO – June 3, 2025 – Downtown Tiffin is pleased to announce that a decorative steel arch will be installed later this summer at the entrance to Court Street as part of the ongoing revitalization of the block. The project is a joint effort between the City of Tiffin, the City Engineer’s Office, and the Downtown Tiffin Design Committee.
The arch will feature the words “Court Street” within a decorative steel frame and will be illuminated by underlighting with globe-style lights to enhance visibility and add charm to the streetscape.
The arch is being manufactured by Spencer Fabrications of Tavares, Florida, supplied by Ohio Traffic and Lighting Solutions, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio, and installed by National Light & Power Inc. of Sandusky, Ohio.
Tiffin Mayor Lee Wilkinson stated, “This project reflects what we can accomplish when public and private partners come together with a shared vision for our community. I’m grateful to all those involved for helping us continue the revitalization of our historic downtown. The Court Street project was made possible through public/private collaboration including grants from the National Machinery Foundation, Meshech Frost Charitable Trust, and the State of Ohio Capital Improvement Program.”
“The design for the Court Street arch was influenced by one we came across in Newark, Ohio during the 2024 Heritage Ohio Conference,” said Downtown Tiffin Main Street Manager Donna Gross. “It added a simple yet distinctive touch to the downtown, and our Downtown Design Committee felt a similar design could complement the character of our Court Street in Downtown Tiffin.”
The arch installation is expected to be completed later this summer as a key feature of the broader Court Street improvement project, which also includes updated sidewalks, lighting, and landscaping.
