TIFFIN, OHIO – June 13, 2025 – Downtown Tiffin invites the community to celebrate the joy of music at its Third Thursday event, Fête de la Musique, on Thursday, June 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. This free, family-friendly event will feature live performances, interactive activities, and community engagement throughout the historic downtown district.

Musicians will be stationed on street corners performing a wide variety of music including folk, blues, alternative, rock, country, pop, Native American flute, indie, jazz, and classical. Guests are encouraged to explore, listen, and enjoy while supporting local businesses and restaurants.

At 201 S. Washington Street, children can take part in hands-on craft stations hosted by CASA of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties, Sisters In Shelter, and United Way of Sandusky County. Families will be able to create and decorate their own musical instruments including rain sticks, shakers, guitars, maracas, and tambourines to bring the rhythm home.

Mayor Lee Wilkinson stated, “This event brings a vibrant energy to our downtown, filling the streets with music and community spirit. As local musicians share their talents from every corner, we invite everyone to explore, enjoy, and support the businesses that make Tiffin such a special place to live and visit.”

Fête de la Musique is part of a worldwide celebration of music held annually in June and reflects Downtown Tiffin’s commitment to hosting engaging events that promote the arts, local talent, and vibrant community life.

Third Thursdays in Downtown Tiffin are made possible by the generous support of local sponsors: UIS Insurance and Investments, Reineke Family Dealerships, Destination Seneca County, Croghan Colonial Bank, and Mercy Health – Tiffin.

About Downtown Tiffin

The revitalization of downtown Tiffin began in 2011, when a group of community members came together to form “Tiffin Tomorrow”, with the goal of promoting and encouraging economic development in Downtown Tiffin, and creating plans, programs, and actions to ensure long-term vitality and prosperity. In 2014, the City of Tiffin contracted with SIEDC to act as the downtown organization and “Tiffin Tomorrow” came under the SIEDC (now TSEP) umbrella as the “Downtown Development Board,” which serves as the governing board of the downtown organization. In 2015, Tiffin joined Heritage Ohio’s Main Street Program. For more information, click here.
